A Suffolk Circuit Court jury found two co-defendants guilty of gang-related offenses that occurred at King’s Fork High School and a private residence in January, according to Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney James Wiser.

Daonte Lamar Chalk and Jeremiah Matthew Shelton were convicted of several felonies — malicious wounding by mob, conspiring to maliciously wound by mob and two counts of participating in the criminal act of a prohibited gang — plus a gang recruitment misdemeanor.

A bench trial for another alleged participant, Aaren Demetrius Chalk Jr., 18, who faces the same charges, is scheduled for Sept. 17, according to Wiser. He pleaded not guilty last week.

Daonte Chalk, 16, was certified to be tried as an adult. An earlier story incorrectly stated that he had already been found guilty.
