Two charged in theft, destruction cases

Suffolk police have arrested two people following an investigation into thefts of air conditioner units and related destruction of property incidents, according to a city press release.

On July 30, police were dispatched to a suspicious person call at a vacant residence in the 900 block of East Washington Street in downtown Suffolk, according to the release. 

Dasean L. Bryant, 22, and Julian Brundidge, 20, both of Suffolk, were charged in reference to numerous destruction of property of air conditioner units and grand larcenies dating back to June 2015.

They were each arrested on nine counts of destruction of property, nine counts of conspiracy to commit destruction of property, nine counts of committing larceny with intent to sell, nine counts of possession of burglary tools, nine counts of third offense larceny and nine counts of grand larceny. A total of 54 felony warrants each were secured against Bryant and Brundidge.

This investigation is on-going. Both are currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
