Rose Bunch

CAMDEN, S.C. — Rose Ronci Bunch, 87, died on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at her home, Morningside Assisted Living, in Camden, S.C.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Page Bunch, of Roanoke, Va.; Helen Crolley (Parley), of Camden, S.C.; and William Bunch Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth Armentrout, of Tazewell, Va. Mrs. Bunch is also survived by four grandchildren: Marianne Lester (Tazewell, Va.), Vince Paschal (Woody Creek, Colo.), Katharine Spragg (Richmond, Va.), and Tara Boone (Lugoff, S.C.) and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Robert M. Ronci (Barbara), of Dedham, Mass. Mrs. Bunch was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Reynolds; a granddaughter, Heather Jenkins; and by William C. Bunch, her former husband.
Mrs. Bunch’s home for the past six years was Morningside. She loved all the staff and residents and was especially fond of her devoted companions, Judy McMillian, Sharon Bates, Becky Thayer, and Dorothy Jefferson.
Mrs. Bunch was a public school music teacher and a church organist in Nansemond County, Va. She also worked as a social worker in Chesapeake, Va. She volunteered with the PTA, 4-H, literacy groups, and was a guardian ad litum in Titusville, Fla., for a number of years. Mrs. Bunch had been a member of Glebe Episcopal Church, Driver, Va., and at the time of her death, was a member of Church of the Ascension in Hagood, S.C.
A memorial service will be held at Church of the Ascension on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in the parish hall. The Rev. Pete Cooper will officiate. Mrs. Bunch will be interred in the Columbarium at Church of the Ascension.
