Lizzie Hawk, 87, a previous resident of 3808 Nansemond Parkway, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 in Envoy Health Care of Williamsburg.
Lizzie Hawk was born Dec. 3, 1922, to the late Bessie Hawk Smith. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Lee Hawk, and stepfather, Toby Smith. She was educated in the Nansemond County Public School System.
She leaves to cherish her memories, devoted caretakers and cousins, Clifton and Shirley Jones, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
A wake will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1107 E. Washington St., Suffolk, Va. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 8, at noon at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Dill Road, Suffolk, Va., with Elder Madison Copeland officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
