Maudie Mae Bazemore, 78, of Woodbridge, Va., entered eternal rest on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 after a long illness.
A native of Suffolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Dennie Bazemore. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Bazemore Sr.; and siblings Richard White, Jessie L. Davis, Ethel White, Marie Reese, James Bazemore, and Joseph White.
She is survived by her daughter, Delores Baker, of Woodbridge, Va.; foster daughter Betty Daughtrey (Karl), of Hampton, Va.; grandchildren, Shirian Holland (Lukie), of Upper Marlboro, Md.; Sean Scott, of Baltimore, Md.; Stephan Scott (Vanessa), of Woodbridge Va.; Johnny Bazemore Jr. and April Copeland, of Washington, D.C.; siblings Hugh Bazemore, of Fort Washington, Md.; Rosella Hollman and Alberta Ricks (Richard), of Portsmouth, Va. and Virginia Sykes, of New York; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Suffolk, Va. at noon. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
