A section of Church Street between Mahan Street and Western Avenue will be closed for about three hours, beginning Monday at 10 a.m., according to city officials.

The road closure is necessary for the Department of Public Utilities to make an emergency repair, according to a press release from city spokeswoman Debbie George.

It will be necessary to temporarily shut off water in that area to make the repairs, George said in the release. Approximately 25 homes could be impacted by the shutdown.
