Police are searching for three men they say assaulted a victim Wednesday near downtown.

Authorities were called to Pine Street around 12:40 p.m. to investigate a mob assault, according to police.

The victim told police that the suspects waited for him to leave his house before they jumped him, said city spokeswoman Debbie George. The victim reportedly knew his attackers, she said.

Warrants have been filed against Dominique Knight, 18, of the 100 block of Mahan Street; Keon Tillery, 21, of Lucerne Avenue; and Marvin McKinnie, 20, of the 800 block of Ridley Street.
