In honor of Veterans Day, the following city, state and federal agencies will be closed on Tuesday:

All of Suffolk’s public schools, along with administrative offices and agencies;

All city offices and public libraries;

Hampton Roads Transit offices and all area bus routes;

State courts and related administrative offices;

All Department of Motor Vehicles offices;

All U.S. Post Offices.

Three of Suffolk’s parks — Lone Star Lakes, Bennett’s Creek and Sleepy Hole — will remain open all day, with rangers on duty until noon. The Prentis House Visitor Center, 321 North Main Street, also will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Trash will not be picked up on Tuesday. Pickup times will shift by a day for the rest of the week to make up for the day off, meaning that normal Tuesday pickups will be done on Wednesday, and so forth.
