The News-Herald wants your help and we are asking for your submissions. Our goal is to provide you a forum where you can share your opinions, stories and pictures. Let us know what you think. Are our politicians doing a good job? Do you think we should support or not support certain issues? Let us know.

If you have a picture of a large-mouth bass you caught last weekend at a local lake or a picture of your neighbor’s kids jumping rope, send it to us – we’ll find a place to run it in the newspaper.

If you see a random act of kindness, let us know. Who’s doing good deeds? If you see or know of someone who goes out of their way to help others or makes a difference in our community then tell us so we can share their stories. If you want to write your own version of that story, then do so and we’ll find a place to run it.

Tell us about those special announcements – weddings, births, anniversaries, family reunions. Take pictures at those events and share them with us.

We care about Suffolk and we want to be Suffolk’s newspaper. That can only happen by you telling us what you are doing, what you think and what you want to see in your newspaper. It is our assurance that the News-Herald is your newspaper. If you call it news, we’ll put it in the newspaper.
