Ruth N. Jarrett Clayton, 73, the mother of nine children and several grandchildren, departed this life on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. A celebration of life service will be held at noon Thursday at Runneymede Holiness Church, Elberon, Va. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, 757-357-9500.
