Marian was born on Aug. 27, 1927 in Suffolk, Va. to the late Sandy Pryor Sr. and Octavia Goodman Pryor. She entered into eternal rest on Feb. 8, 2009 at Autumn Care of Suffolk.
She relocated to Pennsylvania and entered into holy matrimony to the late Atlas Nixon. She was a member of Northeast Baptist Church in Pennsylvania and Order of the Eastern Star.
Marian is survived by one niece, Gabrielle Martinez (Shawn); six nephews; cousins Catherine Goodman-Rodgers, Minister Epharim Thomas Goodman and Amos Goodman, all of Suffolk, Va.; other cousins, relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 from noon to 7 p.m. A service will be held Saturday, Feb. 14 at noon in the chapel of T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home, with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Professional service entrusted to T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home.
