SUFFOLK – William Alfred “Junie” Scott Jr., 57, of 425 Woodruff St. died on Feb. 10, 2009 in Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk, Va., and a son of the late William Alfred Scott Sr., and Mary Frances Scott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Hinton Scott, and a brother, George Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Titina Hinton Collins (Russell), of Suffolk, Va., Frenchie Renee Rodgers, of Portsmouth, Va., and Kenesha Scott, of Newport News, Va.; two sisters, Margaret Parker and Ida Mae Scott, of Suffolk, Virginia; four brothers, Rickey Scott, Reginald Scott, Roland Scott, and Tony Scott all of Suffolk, Va.; four grandchildren, a mother-in-law, Margaret Warren; four aunts, Margaret Sears, Ethel Hargrave, Glozia Sears, Patricia Hargrove; three uncles, Albert Tillery, William Sears, and Malachi Hargrave; 11 nieces, 10 nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Crocker Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be held in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
