King’s Fork senior TaShauna “Sugar” Rodgers has been selected as one of 12 players to be on the East Team for the McDonald’s All-American High School Game to be held in Miami on Wednesday, Apr. 1.

Rodgers, who’s the reigning and three-time MVP of the Southeastern District and was a first team all-state selection last season, is one of 24 girls basketball players from a search of 900-1,200 nominees to be named a McDonald’s All-American. Rodgers has signed a scholarship offer from Georgetown.

Rodgers eclipsed the 2,000-point mark for her King’s Fork career earlier this season and was ranked the No. 9 ranked Class of 2009 player in the nation by and in the top 30 according to ESPN and the Blue Star Report.
