Mary M. Lewter, of 706 Factory St., Suffolk, died Monday, March 23, 2009 in Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Elma Crumble. She is also predeceased by her husband, Clyde Wilson Lewter Sr.
She was formerly employed as a companion nurse with Home Health Care.
She is survived by three sons, Marvin Lewter, Thomas Wendell Lewter (Mary) and Clyde Lewter Jr. (Lessie), all of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; cousins, other relatives and many friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Greater Sweet Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Bishop Madison G. Copeland.
