Mary Lewter

Mary M. Lewter, of 706 Factory St., Suffolk, died Monday, March 23, 2009 in Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Elma Crumble. She is also predeceased by her husband, Clyde Wilson Lewter Sr.
She was formerly employed as a companion nurse with Home Health Care.
She is survived by three sons, Marvin Lewter, Thomas Wendell Lewter (Mary) and Clyde Lewter Jr. (Lessie), all of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; cousins, other relatives and many friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Greater Sweet Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
