The Nansemond-Suffolk boys lacrosse team tuned up for its biggest game of the season with a 16-3 drubbing of Hampton Roads Academy on Thursday.

The visiting Navigators surrendered the first five goals before scoring the next two, but couldn’t stay with the Saints in the second half of the Tidewater Conference game.

NSA (5-1, 2-0) now readies for a Tuesday visit by conference and state power Norfolk Academy, a team that routed the Saints last season. NSA has improved since that time, but just how much will be shown upon the Bulldogs’ arrival.

Thursday’s game turned sloppy at times, with HRA clearly outmatched. Will Crenshaw led all scorers with four goals, while teammates Carter Pearson and Sam Rapaport each had three and Tucker Hotte tallied twice.
