Mrs. Geneva Jones, 80, died April 25, 2009, at Sentara Nursing Center. She was born on July 13, 1928, to the late Robert Jones and Senora Hale in Nansemond County.
Mrs. Jones leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Herbert Lee Jones Sr. (Alice); three grandchildren, Herbert Jones Jr., Dennis Jones and Deanna Bartee; devoted cousins Elder Robert and Mary Warren; and a host of other family and friends.
A viewing will be held from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. A service of remembrance will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at Poplar Run Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
