King’s Fork’s Jaquon Parker has withdrawn his verbal commitment to attend and play basketball at Old Dominion University.

Parker, the state’s Group AAA VHSCA (Virginia High School Coaches Association) Player of the Year, committed to a scholarship offer from ODU just over two weeks ago. Parker is planning on transferring to a prep school and could potentially start playing for a college program in the 2010-11 season.

Parker also has recruiting interest from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Marquette, Virginia and LaSalle.
