Suffolk Police still are investigating a stabbing that occurred Monday evening.

Police were called to a fight among several people in the 900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard just before 7 p.m. Monday. One man who was stabbed was involved in an accident on Godwin Boulevard, possibly attempting to drive himself to the hospital, according to a city press release. He was transported via Nightingale helicopter to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The man’s injuries were considered serious. He was reported in stable condition Tuesday evening.

Other people at the scene suffered minor injuries, the press release said. The incident still is under investigation.
