The newest CHKD Children’s Medical Group pediatric practice, Nansemond Pediatrics, held an open house Saturday for children to see their doctor’s new office.
Dianne Chirico, Richard Curry, Pete Grosso and Kathryn McCormick are the four doctors teaming up with Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. The new practice is located at 1005 Commercial Lane, Suite 220, near Sentara Obici Hospital, where the doctors are on staff.
The new 7,000-square-feet office features 17 exam rooms and ample workspace for nurses and administration, Curry said. The office will have the most up-to-date equipment, and all four doctors are certified in pediatrics.
Nansemond Pediatrics is the 15th CHKD-operated practice with more than 20 locations throughout Hampton Roads, from Williamsburg to Suffolk to Elizabeth City, N.C.
Nansemond Pediatrics offers newborn hospital care, nursery and inpatient coverage at Sentara Obici, free prenatal get-acquainted visits for expectant parents, convenient office hours, an after-hours nurse line, routine and emergency care for children from birth to age 21, and free age-appropriate books at regular visits through CHKD’s Reach Out and Read program.
Through its close association with Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Nansemond Pediatrics has quick access to the pediatric specialists of CHKD and to CHKD’s full range of ancillary services.
CHKD is the only freestanding, full-service children’s hospital in Virginia and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
