Robbery suspect sought by police

Suffolk Police are attempting to locate a suspect wanted for a June 26 robbery of an 18-year-old male.
Police are looking for Christopher Jonta Artis, age 18, of the 500 block of Second Ave. who they believe participating in robbing an individual on the 1000 block of Clarys Drive. Artis allegedly took from the victim his cell phone, glasses and $10 from his pocket. Artis also allegedly assaulted the victim.
Artis, who is also wanted on unrelated charges of possession of a sawed off shotgun and criminal game participation, is described as 5-foot, 9-inches tall and 180 pounds.
Anyone that may have information on Artis’ whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up. When calling Crime Line, callers do not have to give there names
or appear in court. If the information provided leads to an arrest, the caller could qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
