Joseph Lafayette Felton Sr., 90, of Suffolk, Va., passed away July 24, 2009. He was born in Nansemond County the son of the late Cora T. and Walter O. Felton. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Felton. He retired after 50 years as a pipefitter from Planters Peanut Company.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Joseph L. Felton Jr. and Raymond L. Felton, both of Suffolk, Va.; and two great-nieces.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating.
