Braxton Gill Haynie, 86, of Reedville, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2009. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Reedville, Va.
He was a past Master Mason of Suffolk Lodge No. 30 A.F. & A.M. He received his 50 year pin on March 18, 2008.
He was a man who loved God, his wife, family and nature. He was known to many as Brackie.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Audrey Louise Haynie.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Haynie Forrester, of Richmond, Va., a son, Manuel Gill Haynie, of Reedville, Va., three grandchildren, Baylor Vonbergen, Major Tim Haynie, Michael Haynie, two step-grandchildren, Kristin Forrester and Leah Green. He had nine great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville, Va. at 8 a.m.
