Clarence Faulks

Clarence C. Faulks, 87, of 4861 Sleepy Hole Road, died Nov. 12, 2009 at Bon Secours, Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, Va. He was a native of Portsmouth, Va. He was the son of the late Charlie C. Faulks and Minne Johnson Faulks. He was the proprietor of a store. He is predeceased by two brothers: Morris Faulks and James Faulks. He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Teresa L. Moore (Christopher), of Portsmouth, Va. and Pauline Terry, of Trenton, N.J.; one son, the Rev. Keith Mayfied (Sandra), of Suffolk, Va.; three sisters, Sarah Petree (Milton), of Florida, Minnie Brown, and Joan Brown, of Buffalo, N.Y.; one brother, Melvin Brown, of Buffalo, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four nieces; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Poplar Run Baptist Church, 5330 Bennett’s Pasture Road. Interment will be held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will be at the home of the Rev. Keith Mayfield, 4869 Sleepy Hole Road, Suffolk, Va.
