“Pink Game” at NSA Thursday

Hampton Roads and host Nansemond-Suffolk will be tipping off their girls basketball Tidewater Conference schedules on Thursday night.
More importantly though, the Lady Navigators and Lady Saints will be playing a “Pink Game.” The proceeds from tickets to the game and any extra donations will be given partly to breast cancer research and partly to the personal challenge faced by Hampton Roads’ head coach Laura Stoner. Her daughter is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor and some of the proceeds from Thursday’s game will go to that need.
Saint and Navigator players will be sporting pink warm-up jerseys and other pink attire. A pink basketball will be used, one NSA has used in a couple other games this season.
The varsity game is set for 7 p.m. The Lady Saints (5-4) will be trying to avenge a loss to HRA two weeks ago in Newport News.
