Barbara Jean Smallwood, 65, of Richmond, Va., died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 in Retreat Hospital in Richmond. She was a native of Suffolk, Va., and the daughter of the late David H. Allmon Sr. and Eleanor Freeman Allmon. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rita D. Jones.
She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She was currently working as a waitress in a restaurant.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, David H. Allmon Jr. (Vivian), of Suffolk; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 in Crocker Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. V. Elam. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
