Paul Ridley

Paul Ridley, 59, of 9502 Oak Leaf Place, Clinton, Md., died Saturday, April 17, 2010 peacefully at his residence surrounded by family and friends. He was a native of Scott Neck, N.C., and the son of the late Henry Ridley and Roberta Ridley.
He attended John F. Kennedy High School and Tidewater Community College. He was a member of Missouri Baptist Church in Suffolk. He was a member of the American Legion in Clinton, Md., and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Beatrice M. Ridley, of Clinton, Md.; one son, David A. Ridley, and three daughters, Alfreda Gandy, Regina Clarke and Paula Ridley; three brothers, Monte’ Ridley, Dennis Ridley and Henry Ridley; four sisters, Mine Boone, Mary Ridley, Barbara Flowers and Annette Brimmer; three grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Oak Grove Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Gloria Pettiford. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be Friday, April 23, 2010 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. The family will be at 201 Woodrow Ave., Suffolk, and will assemble there on Saturday at 10 a.m. for the procession to the church. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
