James Morrison Beale, 93, passed away May 11, 2010 in Newport News.
Born in Isle of Wight County, he was the son of the late Winnie and Allen Preston Beale. He was the widow of Evelyn Wills Beale and retired from the Newport News Shipyard as supervisor of welding. He was a member of Windsor Christian Church, and served as trustee of the church. He was also a member of Windsor Ruritan Club and Purdie Masonic Lodge in Windsor. He also served on the County Board of Zoning and Appeals. James was a founding member of Windsor Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his daughter, Peggy Jones and husband Ed, of Newport News; son, Perry Beale and wife Debbie, of Fredricksburg, Va.; granddaughter, Katie Beale; sister, Marion B. Bowden, of Newport News, Va.; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Stephen W. Broache and the Rev. Basil Ballard. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W.
