The PDCCC Foundation is hosting the seventh annual Paul D. Camp Community College Golf Tournament at Cypress Creek Golfers’ Club in Smithfield on Friday, Aug. 20.
The tournament combines fun, food and golf, all for a good cause — benefitting the PDCCC Foundation to raise money for student scholarships and staff and faculty needs.
Registration and lunch starts at 11 a.m. The four-person Captain’s Choice tournament starts at 1 p.m.
The $75 cost per person includes greens fees, carts, range balls, drinks and a boxed lunch. Singles will be placed on teams by the staff. Early registration is recommended since the field is limited to the first paid 144 players. Registration forms and fees are due by Aug. 10.
The tournament will feature lots of prizes and gifts, including a $250 prize for a hole-in-one on two specified holes, pro shop certificates and prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive. There will be three flights, with $300 for the first-place team, $200 for the second team and $100 for the third team in each flight.
Sponsorship packages are available and include the following: Gold – $500 (four green fees and a hole sign) and Silver – $300 (one hole sign).
Registration and sponsorship checks should be made payable to PDCCC Foundation and mailed to Patsy Joyner, PDCCC, P.O. Box 737, Franklin, Va. 23851.
