HAMPTON — Shawn Balluzzo, Rusty Wood and Thomas Stinson renew their three-way joust for the B&C Seafood Modified championship Saturday as Langley Speedway’s support divisions take the spotlight for Auto Industry Night.
In addition to the 50-lap Modified feature, this weekend’s feature lineup includes: Pepsi Grand Stocks (40 laps); Langley Fan Club Super Streets (40 laps); Larry King Legal Services Super Trucks (25 laps); Standard Welding Pro Sixes (30 laps); and, Enduros (50 laps).
Front gates open at 1 p.m. with practice rounds and time trials during the afternoon. Pre-race activities commence at 6:45 and the evening’s feature racing program begins shortly after 7.
Robbie Parker brings a two-race winning streak into this week’s Grand Stock race. He and Ricky Derrick are deadlocked atop the division standings.
Since spotting the field one race when he missed the season opener, Randy Sample has been on a roll in Super Street competition. His six starts have resulted in five wins and, last week, he moved into first place in the series.
Robbie Davis will look to extend his three-race Super Truck winning streak.
Danny Harrell tries to remain unbeaten as the Enduros hit the track for the third time this season.
In the Pro Six class, Matt Mullins enjoys a 14-point lead over Lindsay Bryant. What Mullins didn’t enjoy, however, was T.J. Guthrie rooting him out of the lead on the final lap of last Saturday’s race.
