One person was injured, and Suffolk police closed the Route 58 West exit onto Wilroy Road for several hours following a serious motorcycle accident that took place at 1:18 p.m. Saturday, according to a city announcement.

Suffolk spokesperson Debbie George said in an email that the driver of the motorcycle had been flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of what were thought to have been non-life-threatening injuries.

The exit ramp was re-opened at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
