Valerian Thomas “Shorty” Branchaud of Suffolk died Aug. 20, 2010.

A memorial service with military honors will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.

Friends may join the family on Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory for visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Mission School, P.O. Box 189, Highway 1, Red Lake, MN 56671.
