An early Thursday morning accident on South Quay Road has claimed the life of a Courtland woman.

Suffolk Police released the name of victim as 59-year-old Patricia Ann Hornok.

According to police, Hornok was traveling east on South Quay road when her vehicle left the road, crossed a ditch and then ultimately high a high bank. Officials said Hornok was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident was reported around 1 a.m. to dispatchers.
