To the Editor:

Impact Suffolk would like to say thank you to the many sponsors, volunteers, bands, event exhibitions, in-kind assistance, food by the Liberty Spring Ruritans, and the media support for the Suffolk Summer Slam, held Aug. 28 at Bennett’s Creek Park.

Special thanks to the Suffolk Department of Parks & Recreation for all its assistance. In particular, thanks to Jason Pittman, our P&R coordinator, for his can do willingness to assist and his pleasant and efficient oversight of our event.

We hope that the back-to-school supplies collected by the Salvation Army will bless the children of Suffolk.

Our hope is that Summer Slam was a great day for the youth and their families of this area. Check our website for pictures at www.impactsuffolk.org.
