Copeland defeats Owen

Voters returned Enoch Copeland to the Holy Neck seat on the School Board Tuesday, choosing him over challenger William Owen.

Copeland was first elected in 2006. He is a retired teacher with Suffolk Public Schools and also a former City Council member.

Owen retired last year after 45 years of teaching and administration in Suffolk Public Schools, Isle of Wight County Public Schools and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.
