Strikers end season as runners-up

The Suffolk Strikers finished second in the 14U Blue Division of the season-ending Tidewater Area Soccer League Tournament at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach. The Strikers are an advanced team at Suffolk Youth Athletic Association.
In the preliminary round, the Strikers beat the Western Branch Soccer Club Hurricanes 5-1 and lost to the Chesapeake United Sabers 6-0.
In the semifinal game, the Strikers beat the NYSL Hawks on penalty kicks after the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Chesapeake United won the championship game over the Strikers 6-1.
