Historic St. Luke’s Church in Smithfield, shown here covered with a blanket of snow last year, will host its holiday open house next weekend.

Historic St. Luke’s Church in Smithfield invites all to its holiday open house Nov. 27-28.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the church, 14477 Benn’s Church Blvd. Complimentary tours, traditional Christmas music and more will be held in the historic church. In the gift shop, Christmas cake and wassail will be served, and free gift wrapping will be offered.

The church is the oldest existing church of English foundation in America and is the nation’s only surviving Gothic building. Affectionately called the “Old Brick Church,” it dates to 1632.
