Betty Carolyn Melton Snodgrass, 65, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Cleveland County, N.C., she had been a resident of Hampton and a resident of Suffolk for a number of years. She was a teacher in Suffolk city schools and retired as an information technician with the city of Chesapeake.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, in Parklawn Memorial Park, 2539 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, Va. The Rev. Randy Green, of Harvest Fellowship, Smithfield, Va., will officiate.

Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, Va.
