A Suffolk man reported missing since Thanksgiving contacted a family member Wednesday, police said.

Kenneth Viohl contacted a family member via telephone and told them he was fine and was away from home voluntarily, according to a press release issued Wednesday by city spokeswoman Debbie George.

“Based on this contact, Viohl is no longer considered missing by police,” George wrote.

Police said on Tuesday the 40-year-old Viohl had not been seen or heard from since he spent Thanksgiving at his mother’s Del Park residence in Virginia Beach. He also had not reported to work.
