Elsie Foster Cutchins, 84, died Dec. 16, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Dolly Mae and Hester B. Foster. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Cutchins.

A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of South Quay Baptist Church, a bus driver for the Suffolk Public Schools for 22 ½ years and sales associate with Peebles Department Stores.

Elsie is survived by two sons, Stephen L. Cutchins and wife, Mary Helena, and Richard A. Cutchins, all of Suffolk; grandchildren Jessica Cutchins, Eddie Shelton, and Mike Shelton; great grandchildren Brandon Shelton, Tray Shelton, D. J. Shelton, and Brianna Shelton; sisters Janice Byrum, Lorine Cutchins, Geraldine Williams, all of Windsor, Va., Marjorie Willman, of Virginia Beach, and Vergie Byrum, of Disputanta, Va.; brothers Shirley Foster, of Franklin, and Cleveland Foster, of Suffolk.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Billy P. Presley. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
