Rose Marie Wilkins Collins, 62, of Suffolk, Va., passed away Jan. 16, 2011. She was born in Nansemond County, Va., the daughter of the late Ruby Worley and James Wilkins. Rose was an Avon representative for 15 years. She attended Whaleyville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Women of the Moose Portsmouth Chapter No. 966.

Rose is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gregg Curtis, of Suffolk, Va.; son, James Lloyd Edwards, of Smithfield, Va.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; loving fiancé, George “Junior” Thomas Smith Jr., of Corapeake, N.C.; brother, Herman Wayne Wilkins, of Suffolk, Va.

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, Va., with Pastor William Hall officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. Friends can join the family other times at the residence of Sharon and Gregg Curtis.
