Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey L. Church, of Chesapeake, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Ann Church, to James Lewis Gresham II, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Gresham, of Salem, Va.

Julia is a graduate of Western Branch High School and Virginia Tech, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and information systems. She is an associate at Goodman and Company, LLP, Newport News, Va.

Jim is a graduate of Salem High School and Hampden-Sydney College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in religion. He is a May 2011 candidate for a master’s degree in higher education administration — educational leadership and policy studies from Virginia Tech. A fall wedding is planned.
