Suffolk police are seeking an armed robber who threatened a store clerk and a customer at a Portsmouth Boulevard gas station last week.
Just after 8 p.m. on March 1, an armed man walked into the Quick Stop Mart in the 1100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard. The man displayed a gun and demanded money from the register.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect turned to a customer and demanded money. When the customer wouldn’t give him money, the robber took a pack of cigarettes the customer had just purchased and fled the store.
The suspect was described as a black male with light complexion, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, and 180-200 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, blue jeans and a red bandana.
Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
