Lillian Lynette Boone, 75, of 9898 Southwestern Blvd., Suffolk, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Cofield, N.C., and the daughter of the late Lee Combo and Alease Hall.

She attended Nansemond County Training School. She retired as a bus driver with the STOP Organization. She was a member of New Olive Branch Baptist Church in Suffolk.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James E. Boone; three daughters, Deborah Russell (Reginald), Beverly Parker (James “Bobby”) and Lora Hunter (Theodore), all of Suffolk; two sons, Carris Manson (Rita) and Joseph Manson, both of Suffolk; one stepson, Edward Malone Jr.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mattie Copeland, of Suffolk, Clarice Copeland, of Cofield, N.C., Carolyn Combo, of Cofied, N.C., Gloria Smith, of Georgia, and Margaret Hall (Mark), of Suffolk; one brother, William Combo (Linda), of Cofield, N.C.; aunts, Jessie Deans, of Norfolk, and Naomi Boykins, of Suffolk; uncle, Warrenton Manley; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2011 at Corinth Chapel U.C.C., eulogist, the Rev. Jerry Boone, and officiated by Pastor John T. Myers. Interment will be in New Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at
