A member of the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts Foundation Board of Directors has been elected to the Virginians for the Arts Foundation Board.

Pearl Harrell will serve in the position for a two-year term. She was among more than two dozen people throughout the state elected to the foundation board.

Harrell also served on the Virginians for the Arts Board last year after being nominated by fellow SCCA champion Betsy Brothers. She was the only member of that board from Suffolk or Western Tidewater last year.
