The city of Suffolk is under a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service.
Severe thunderstorms are expected to move into the area soon. The thunderstorms could come with small hail and brief wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour. Sustained winds will be about 30 to 35 miles per hour, according to a statement on the weather service’s website.
Rainfall amounts will total less than an inch, except in areas that get the worst of the thunderstorms, the weather service said.
