BeLinda Sue Parr Jeffreys, 54, of Suffolk, Va., passed away April 5, 2011. A native of Suffolk, Va., she is the daughter of Dorothy “Sue” K. Parr and the late Robert J. Parr Sr.  She was also predeceased by her son, Robert Allen Jeffreys. BeLinda was a registered nurse at Sentara Obici Hospital and graduated from the Louise Obici School of Nursing, Class of 1979. She was past president of the L.O.S.N. Alumni Association and was known as loving, caring and true to the nursing oath. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, where she served as vice queen for two years in her chapter.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, William “Bill” Wallace Jeffreys, of Suffolk; daughter, Ora Nicole Jeffreys, and her fiancé, Jonathan B. Atwood, of Suffolk; sister, Kelly Denise Parr and Patti Anctil, of Williamsburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert J. Parr Jr. and Linda, of Portsmouth, John W. Parr and Darlene, Frank J. Parr Sr. and Kathleen, and Charles D. Parr Sr. and Kim, all of Suffolk; nine nephews, three nieces and one great-nephew. A special thanks to her loving and devoted cousin, Susan, and friends, Mary Lou and Kathy.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Suffolk Christian Church, with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence.
