Alvin Ralph Taroli, 68, of Suffolk, Va., passed away April 14, 2011. He was born in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Adeline Bosko Taroli and Bruno Taroli. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Enrico and Elizabeth Taroli; daughter, Jeannie Conyers; son, Alvin R. “Butch” Taroli Jr.; granddaughter, Heather Perry; and brother, Enrico Taroli. Alvin was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked as the former manager for Drug Fair and for Revco and after retirement worked as a courier in medical transport.

Alvin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Sean Myers, of Suffolk; grandchildren, Amanda Moegenberg and her husband, Matt, Erin M. Conyers, Tony, Brooke, Staci, Sydney and Lindsey Taroli; great-grandchildren, Travis and Joseph Moegenberg; brothers, Ronald Taroli, of Scranton, Pa., Fred Taroli, of Lake Ariel, Pa., and Barry Taroli, of Scranton, Pa.

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, Va., with Pastor Greg Kitts officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Amanda and Matt Moegenberg.
