Teolinda K. Torres, 32, of 2029 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, died Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was a native of Bronx, N.Y., and the daughter of Benviendo D. Torres and Daisy M. Britt.

She attended Nansemond River High School. She was employed as a senior patient account representative at Sentara Healthcare.

Besides her mother and father, she leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Kayla M. Outlaw; one son, George Porter Jr.; one sister, Tracy Simmons, of Suffolk; one brother, Steve Moon, of Somerset, N.J.; nieces, Destani Cox and Maleah Moon; nephews, Benjamin Vasquez IV, Joshua Vasquez and Jalen Hyde; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Tabernacle Christian Church officiated by the Rev. Gary Rogers. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2011, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will meet at 2029 Nansemond Parkway for the procession to the church on Saturday.
