Police have arrested two women accused in the assault of a man in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn on Friday.

Josie Babb was arrested in Gates County, N.C. on Sunday and is awaiting extradition. Carolyn Darden was arrested in Suffolk Friday.

According to police, Josie Babb and her fiancé, Lee Allen Boone, were riding in a car driven by Carolyn Darden. The couple allegedly got into an argument, so Darden pulled into the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn.

That’s when, police say, Babb and Boone got out of the vehicle and Babb beat the man multiple times with a tire iron. Darden then allegedly struck him with the car as the women were fleeing the scene.

Darden received additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for items that were found on her after she was arrested, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
