SUFFOLK — Christopher W. Brown departed this life on Monday, May 23, 2011, in Suffolk. Chris was the son of Thelma Brown and Earnest Brown of Chesapeake. Chris was a studio engineer. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Vivian Wheeler, and grandfather, Elder James H. Sherrod.

Chris leaves to cherish his memory, along with his parents, a daughter, Jada N. Brown; and a son, Shilyn I. Brown, of Suffolk; fiancée, Tanesha Banks; two brothers, Kevin M. Bryant, of Atlanta, Derrick D. Bryant, of Pasadena, Md.; sister-in-law, Verona Bryant; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Greater Mount Zion COGIC, 3600 Deep Creek Blvd., Portsmouth, with Pastor Charles Hicks officiating. Metropolitan Funeral Services are handling the arrangements.
